I do the same exact thing - a paper pad and pen by my desk. I jot down those drive-by thoughts and little things that pop up but don't need to be dealt with right away. Every 2 or 3 days I process the page and start fresh. I works great, and I find the simplicity, speed and ease mean I use it a lot.
